New Jersey's leading mutant superhero (unless Jon Bon Jovi counts) rises from the sludge to defend truth, justice, and radioactive waste once again in the third sequel to the 1985 cult sensation The Toxic Avenger. There's trouble brewing in the sleepy town of Tromaville when the Diaper Mafia, a group of inept but dangerous criminals, attempt an armed takeover of Tromaville's School for the Very Special for reasons best not contemplated. With the students held hostage, the Toxic Avenger (David Mattey) is called in to save the day, but a freak accident (as if there were any other kind in this movie) leads to an accident that creates an evil mirror version of Tromaville called Amortville; what's worse, heroic Toxie finds himself trapped in Amortville, while Tromaville is cursed with his wicked counterpart, Noxie. Can Toxie make it back to Tromaville and vanquish the villainous Noxie? Will the Diaper Mafia emerge triumphant? And who knew that the Supreme Being was a foul-mouthed dwarf? Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV boasts one of Troma Team Pictures' typically eccentric supporting casts, including Corey Feldman, Ron Jeremy, Lisa Gaye, Hugh M. Hefner, Al Goldstein, Taylor Mead, Debbie Rochon, and Hank the Angry Dwarf. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Citizen Toxie, the fourth installment in this Troma series is full of fun and laughs. You may not enjoy the film if you take it, or yourself, too seriously. Lloyd Kaufman's films are meant to be a parody of life, social ideals, and the film industry. His films point out the absurdity of the roles that Hollywood forces it's viewer into and makes a total mockery of industry norms. This is a great film if you feel like cutting loose and laughing at the film industry and yourself.

This is a surprisingly refreshing addition to the classic Toxic Avenger Trilogy. The new added depth to the Toxie character was so welcomed and enjoyed. Also it’s so fascinating re-living the experiences that make him the man he is today. So many current films have such hollow characters of real people. In this film, you can really relate to Toxie as a person, as he’s just like so many people we all know. I also find it very commendable, how the producers were able to incorporate such a diverse cast of individuals. I cry fairly easily in a good film, but all of friends had problems holding back tears of joy at Toxie’s phenomenal triumphal climax. Way to go Troma !!

i dont get what people saw in this movie or how people could actually say this is better than the first one, saying its better than parts 2&3 is already streching it but man this is the worst toxic avenger movie in my opinion, it doesn't even look like a movie it looks more like a porno and the jokes are nothing but gross out gags, the first 3 are much better with the first being the best of course
