Pearl Jam: Touring Band 2000 (2000)

Pearl Jam: Touring Band 2000 (2000)
Member Rating:
Though the majority of this concert collection takes place in the band's hometown of Seattle, WA, Pearl Jam fans everywhere won't be disappointed by this collection filmed in 19 different cities from the 2000 worldwide Binaural tour. Twenty-eight songs from different points in the band's career grace the screen in live video footage and in music videos. There are also plenty of behind-the-scenes outtakes of humorous on-stage and backstage antics, as filmed by Eddie Vedder and the rest of the boys. Part concert performance, part video collection, and part documentary, other highlights include European travel footage and high-quality sound mixing. No matter how you play it, the liner notes request, "PLEASE PLAY THIS MOVIE LOUD." ~ Karen Solomon, Rovi

I love listening to Pearl Jam but listening to this DVD just sucked. The sound, sounds like was recorded from some guy standing in the audience with a tape recorder. That might be fine for some that what the "in the audience" feel but not for me. After watching Pearl Jam Live at the Garden this DVD was a big let down and hard to fully enjoy. I don't recommend this DVD but do recommend Live at the Garden. If you happen to rent both you will know what I am talking about.

I would agree with Jeremy on the sound and video quality. I now own this dvd along with all other PJ dvd's including "Live at the Showbox", and none of them compare in quality to the Garden set. The Cornice disc is pretty good quality though. Anyways, I still watched this one over and over and it really grew on me and I still watch it now and again. So watch it! but watch it before you see the Garden set! Do it, do it NOW!
