Synopsis of The Andy Griffith Show: Barney's Replacement
Written by Jack Elinson and Charles Stewart, "Barney's Replacemnt" finds Deputy Barney Fife exhibiting jealousy towards Bob Rogers (Mark Miller), a go-getting rookie lawman from the state attorney's office. Convincing himself that Sheriff Andy intends to hire the super-efficient Bob as his replacement, Barney quits his job to become a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman. It is up to Andy to prove how much Barney is truly needed.
