I really enjoyed Playing Mona Lisa and think its got substance, in a good light humorous way. The story is interesting, the plot takes some turns I did not expect and really enjoyed. I like the characters, their texture, and the way they are portrayed. I am fairly sure, this movie is based on an award winning play by a recognized playright. The final love scene, reawakening of true love perhaps, of the middle aged parents, portrayed by Marlo Thomas and Elliot Gould especially. Also there is a scene out side the Fine Arts Pavillion which has a great poem spoken similar to music overlays. Hermes, the trickster, jumps in and out of the story... Finally, and certainly a major thing I like is the photography... Its a beautiful portrayal of San Francisico... I especially like the bridges of San Francisco. Coincidentally, I watched Playing Mona Lisa right after the classic Aly MacGraw Ryan O'Neal Love Story.
