On this broadcast from January 29, 1963 Red Skelton plays Freddie the Freeloader in the comedy sketch "Witness for the Persecution." When hobo Freddie is arrested for breaking into the library (he merely wanted to take a nap on the stacks), famed attorney Perry Masonjar (Mickey Rooney) comes to his defense. The Red Skelton Discovery Corner features a new singing group, The Paris Sisters.
