O Fim Do Mundo (1993)
This is the third (earth) segment in the "Four Elements" series of short films made for Portuguese television. In the story, farmer Augusto (Jose Viana) is having a quarrel with his neighbor about water rights. At the time, he is carrying a hoe. When he turns one way, and she turns another, the hoe strikes her dead. Despite the fact that it is an accidental death, Augusto returns home, dresses as though for a wedding, and turns himself in.
