A classic movie describing the embarrassments of the hospital. Tragedies happened because of mistakes, neglect under pressure, even under traditional protocal for diagnosis with much mordern medical exam... I reccommand this movie to people who have some thoughs on hospitals and doctors. It is a mirror to the fact. I love it.

This movie is quite inconsistent in its delivery but makes up for it in acting, meaning and emotion. Both funny and heartbreaking, this film is thought provoking and leaves us asking social questions we probably should have examined quite a bit earlier in our human history.

Excellent, groundbreaking, movie. When released 40 years ago, it was ahead of it's time in it's "realistic" approach to location & acting. It suffers from the usual period faults: some improbable plot points & twists, some acting missteps. But it's almost worth seeing for Mr Scott alone.
