This is a definite Lifetime goes to Spain film. It is a melodramatic chick flick. I enjoyed it but it was formulaic and predictable.

If you haven't lived it then most likely you've known someone who has gone through the scenario presented. It's what might be called a "cut out movie". You can take the various components move them around and the result will most likely be the same.

Having lived the life of Alberto, being married gay man w/kids, the movie reminded me of a very sad & confusing time in my life. But, unlike Alberto, I didn't discover my gayness until years into my marriage where as he was lying to everyone, including his self all of his life. I was hoping he would make a decision, one way or the other. The movie was enjoyable but frustrating @ times, because he had 2 people that truly loved him while lying to each of them and keeping both of them wondering what/who he wanted. The movie is definitely NOT a romance, but still a good movie.
