As Rex Reed once said, "This is sentimental muck, but it's good sentimental muck!" I loved this movie for exactly what it is, a tear-jerker with good songs, great cinematography, acceptable acting performance, and lots of heart strings. Sure, it's not Oscar material, but it's sweet and simple. Sometimes that's all one wants in a movie.

So and So. But it didn't make me fall asleep either. I received the wrong one from BB. So I ranked this one here.

I love this movie in any form!!! Peter O'Toole, though not a gifted singer, is one of the greatest actors of all time. And he plays Mr. Chips so wonderfully!!! I especially loved the ending.
