Well, I am indeed a Billy Crudup fan, and also a Jennifer Connolly fan. But aside from that, this movie brought to the surface the angst of loving someone, almost loving them too much. The relationship between the two characters is painfully raw and intense, and the effects of her disappearance turn his life inside-out. The question begs to be asked: Would his life been turned inside-out had she not disappeared? Credible? No ends untied? Not really, but if you want to feel the intense feeling of someone who has loved, and want to enjoy the movie for what it is, this movie will touch you.

We'll watch this again sometime. The 3.5 star rating is for all the usual reasons, but on the second viewing (with foreknowledge) I'll focus on - and savor - the dialogue created for this clash of goals and the choices made to reach them. Not for sissies. Scarlett Gupster
