Way to sentimental, it detracts from the story and it has such a made for television look to it. The acting is not very good, that too is overdone. It's not horrible, it means well, but it is so predictable.

I would say this is a good family movie, but I was surprised at the mild profanity, it is unnecessary. Our TV Guardian caught them. Otherwise, the story is good, some issues are not handled too well, like the new stepmother. Otherwise, I would say thumbs up...this young man did love his granmother!
