I love this movie because of Omar Epps excellent acting. LL Cool J gangster element only sweetens the plot making it a must see. If you watched this movie, you would actually LL Cool J and Omar Epps were true gangster making that money. I recommend this movie to everybody who has an open mind.

I don't know, but LL played that role too well for a dude who always be lickin' his lips. LL's role as a kingpin was played exceptionally well, and Omar did his thing. The plot was well written and acting on point. It's a hipper/up to date version of Deep Cover. Check out the pool table scene, that gotta hurt.

I first saw this a co-feature at the drive in when it came out and had to rent it again. Both LL and Omar got robbed in my opinion because these were two of the best performances by leading actors in a movie to come out in a long time. Parents be warned: this is violent, dark, and a graphic depiction of crime in cinema.
