Ray Bradbury helped adapt his own classic story for the screen in this spooky animated adventure. Four children are struggling to come to terms with the illness of their close friend, Pip; as they get ready to celebrate Halloween, Pip's favorite holiday, Pip takes a turn for the worse, but as he's taken to the hospital in an ambulance, the kids see what appears to be Pip's spirit running through the woods. The kids give chase, and happen upon Mr. Moundshroud (Leonard Nimoy), the mysterious proprietor of a local spook house, who gives the children a crash course on the history of Halloween and its traditions. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
