This movie, from Hallmark, is a great movie for the whole family. It tells the story of orphans making their way in the Old West, and of the sister they've adopted. Mary Rose is abandoned as an infant and adopted by four youthful pickpockets who decide to go 'out west' to find their fortunes. My pre-teens were engaged but thought it was a bit tame; it is well suited for older children as well as adults. Jennifer Garner gives a good performance and is captivating as Mary Rose.

If you like the movie, you should read the books its based off of and get a little deeper, the books written by Julie Garwood, tell of how each of the boys get married, and more detail then just raising Mary Rose.

The movie is VERY different from the books. I read the books first and was very disappointed in the film, it was not what I expected at all.
