To me the book is one I love to hate.. Seeing the movie lends the characters more sympathy than in the book. Very well done. Cavanah is a teriffic Heathcliff. My only wish is that they would have left more time for the young Hareton/Catherine story to build.. It ended to abruptly.

I found this film to be the best of several adapations that I have seen at making the incredable central characters believeable. The film shows the grit of farm life and how events can seem very arbitrary when young. It is also very economical in the story telling, consequently this one incluides more of the novel the other adapatations.

This was a very good production of the novel Wuthering Heights. It has my FAVORITE Hareton out of all the other movie versions. Matthew Macfayden is a cutie! A must see for all Bronte fans.
