Released by Essanay in May of 1913, this primitive silent Western, photographed in Niles, California, starred the founder of the company, Gilbert M. Anderson as a tough lawman with a weakness for the ladies. Sheriff Anderson is fooled by the flirting Evelyn Selbie, who's hiding an outlaw (Fred Church) in her back room. Selbie and Church later attempt to rob the stage, she disguising herself as a man. "Broncho Billy" regular Harry Todd makes a brief appearance as the stage depot manager. ~ Hans J.
