Synopsis of Beginnelse på en historie

At the tender age of seven, the young girl in this story suffers from being sent away to live in a Catholic boarding school in 1947, while her father is serving a term in jail for collaborating with the Germans. It is never clear why she was forced to go away to school when her brother wasn't, nor is it clear why she is consistently persecuted by the children in her neighborhood.
