I didn't expect it to be so funny! Ginger's character Mimi hires an attorney to help her get a divorce in the age when "irreconcilable differences" didn't exist as a reason. The attorney hires a male escort to help her get "caught cheating" by her husband, without any real affair occurring of course. Ginger's character mistakes Astaire's for the gigolo and all sorts of hilarity ensue. Astaire gets quite a few good one-liners out of the role. The dancing is magnificent, but the story is very good for some laughs as well.

We enjoyed this Astaire/Rogers movie. It is always a pleasure to see these two dance; arguably the greatest dance team of the 20th Century.
