I rented this movie mainly because I'm somewhat of a Vincent Kartheiser fan. And to me, that was its only redeeming feature. The plot made no sense to me. Foul-mouthed, money-hungry Mel picks Bobby up one day, and the very next minute they're the best of friends, going clubbing and sipping champagne? I'm sorry, but when I picture drug-dealing robbers, I picture them watching their backs, trusting no one but themselves; not giving each other pep talks over hugs and kisses. No witty dialogue, no memorable characters. This movie doesn't have much going for it.

The book by Eddie Little is worth reading but the movie version really sucked. I like James Woods but he was NOT the choice for this character, nor was Melanie Griffith. Nor any of them for that matter. I saw Rosie Perez in the role of Bobby's girlfriend. Anyway, don't bother. book info--> http://www.amazon.com/Another-Day-Paradise-Eddie-Little/dp/0140267727/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-1895429-5072168?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176154365&sr=1-1
