    when I first saw, "For Keeps?" I was touched by how the movie was very much based on the real troubles of teenage couples getting pregnant earlier, and having hardships, family issues, and money and school problems because of it. when Darcy Elliot gets pregnant with Stan bobcuruz's baby, the two lovers feel more inseparable, and do not want to give up the baby for adoption or abortion, but want to raise it themselves, get married, and live on their own. with both 18 year old's parent's fuming and against it, the two try their best to get along in a ramshackle apartment, not being able to pay most of the bills, and having to go to night school. the acting is very realistic in this situation, and molly ringwald gives an outstanding performance once again. its a truly stunning film that will bring you to tears with the drama, and sigh with love. this a timless 80's classic must-see~

    I have always loved this movie. It definately shows the trials and tribulations that a teenage couple go through to have their baby. Molly Ringwald plays an excellent role which she has somewhat reprised in the televison show Secret Life of the American Teenager except in that she is the mother of the teenager that got pregnant.
