This film has good intentions, focusing on race issues in the South, but it feels more like a film made in the 1980s: the plot comes together too easily, the characters are either good guys or bad guys, and there are very few unpredictable twists. Kudos to Jeremy Lelliott for a chilling performance as a young racist, and the rest of cast has some heavyweights, but the script and direction leave this as an average film, worth watching, but not exceptional.
