This is a movie about a severely affected austistic boy, who in non verbal. It is difficult to watch especially if you are the mother of a child on the spectrum of autism. However, Patty Duke plays an excellent teacher, Mellissa Gilbert plays the boy's mother, and it is about the mother's struggle to send her child to get the help she cannot give to him, and the letting go of her child, trusting others with her child, and the tragedy of molestation from a trusted caregiver to the boy who is unable to speak what has happened to him. He is capable through the help of a device to tell, and there are skills he lears having been with the teacher, and the mom and her become on the same team after struggling at best.

I loved the movie because it showed what happened without showing me the awful scene. But its a movie that touches your heart. The young boy shows such courage.

This movie was amazing. Very well put. It's upsetting to know that this does happen in everyday life. The young boy plays a very good role. I strongly recommend it!!
