Bimbo Movie Bash (1997)

Bimbo Movie Bash (1997)
Member Rating:
Aimed as a spoof of an arguable sub-genre known as the "Bimbo Movie," this film is entirely comprised of clips from bimbo classics such as Beach Babes from Beyond and Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death all tied together with dubbed dialogue. The idea for the film was based on a CD-ROM game of the same name in which users can cobble together their own bimbo films by taking scenes from famous genre entries. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

This could have been really funny or at least given an interesting perspective on the movies, don't waste the time on this one.

A clip show does not aspire to much, but this movie falls short of that. Extended excerpts from several movies made it appear the director was just filling time. No cohesion, which is a shame, because they could have made a funny, completely new movie with carefully selected short clips and voice overs. The DVD cover art is clever, but there is no spoof of Independence Day in this movie. Good only as mindless relaxation and exposure to camp movies you might not have seen otherwise.
