I couldn't quite understand it. The three main characters are all outstanding actors!! The mother's character was rather interesting at times- in the way she viewed things...but the father and the daughter was so lukewarm and unexciting. And I agree with the others, what was the freakin' point of the whole movie? How people become trapped into continuing patterns of lower class lives? The synopsis posted in misleading, makes it sound rather like "my big fat greek wedding", but it isn't anything like that at all. You don't even see a wedding and I didn't see any comedy. Just lots of drama without any real result. Very disappointing and unsatisfying.

I didn't like this movie since it just seemed to wander without much purpose. Turned it off halfway through.

I liked the movie, because it is such a cute description of some cultures' "in front of people" "behind people" behaviors. Cute kids.
