As Crystal stated above, the movie was too short. More time should have been spent on giving us a reason for the "change in personality". It was still a good movie and worth watching.

If you haven't read the book, the movie is pretty good, but a bit rushed. And it's a bit confusing at time to understand why who did this or that. And they just barely scratched the surface of the true personalities of each charactor. They really rushed through everything to get it into the film. It should have been longer, and it would have been better. The actors weren't the best choices for the roles either, but overall, I would recommend it.

I absolutely love this movie! If you are a fan of Ralph Fiennes you will not be disappointed. Juliette Binoche is amazing as Catherine (so much better than Merle Oberon's performance in the original). Having read the book, this movie does a pretty good job of fitting in all of the elements of the story into such a short film. I liked this movie so much, I bought it. Great remake.
