Kurt S.

A plodding and overlong film, though well-composed and directed. A meek, directionless man becomes obsessed with a beautiful woman leading a chariot driven by white horses. He fancies himself a poet, but his poetry is rejected as mediocre. The woman he chases is the unattainable illusion of a achieving a fulfilling life and becoming a great poet.
