The cryptographic enigma story is as good as it gets with regard to spy thrillers. Two things to keep in mind. If you are looking for today's hollywood type thriller, this will fall somewhat short. I don't think you need explosions and car chases to have thrills. If the Nazis are after you at all times, that is good enough for me. The other thing is that it is in a foreign language which I admit can sometimes be annoying but if it is a good movie, it is very worthwhile. Otherwise, you'd be missing out on so many good ones. This movie puts history straight in that it gives proper credit to the Poles for laying the groundwork for breaking the enigma code. Later, the Brits and Americans did their part. The Brits tend to have a complex in many areas when it comes to wanting to take credit for things in WWII which is unfortunate.

I expected this movie to be a takeoff on the original, which I greatly enjoyed, and I was very surprised to see that it was produced in Polish. Blockbuster should mention this important fact. Steve L
