If this were your first exposure to Roberto Benigni, you would never see another of his films. STAY AWAY! It is nonstop profanity and inanity, and offensive situations. There is a political and social message here, but the metaphors are tortured beyond recognition. Lighting and sound are abysmal, so you can't even enjoy it as a travelogue. Benigni is brilliant in "Life is Beautiful." Check that film out instead.
This movie has nothing to do with Roberto Benigni comedies, it's some kind of psychological disaster movie and one of the worst foul mouthed movie i have ever seen.
never seen a more messed up movie. idiotic, not funny, full of vulgar cursing without any thinking, meaning that they are just cursing all sorts of disgusting things for very long periods of time and is such a stupid movie that leaves me without words. The main actor is famous now and has lots of great movies but it seems that his early career was pretty messed up with such movies. MC
