If you've never heard of or don't like Fulci's films bypass this one because this film is for the true Fulci fans. Now as for the film itself I'm sorry to report that it's a rather disappointing endeavor. If you want gore there's plenty however almost all the gore in this film is taken by Fulci's other latter films and even just ones he supervised. What's really sad is the coolist gore scene (slit throat) was the only one that was actually shot for the film. If you're thinking this film is a way to delve into Fulci's psyche think again. Fulci's performance is dry and dull and the dubbing is bad too. However the special features of the film both on disc 1 &2are well worth the rent. We get a lengthy interview of Fulci at his first & last US convention appearance plus 2 lengthy interviews with Fulci! And an interview with Brett Halsey. actually you could look at it as the extras being the main attraction and Cat in the Brain being the bonus feature. R.I.P. LUCIO FULCI
