Flamboyant seafarer Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) lands himself in a bit of a bind after being lured onto Blackbeard's (Ian McShane) ship by enigmatic siren Angelica (Penélope Cruz), and forced to seek out the Fountain of Youth. Trapped on the Queen Anne's Revenge with the most nefarious pirate in history, Captain Jack reflects on his past with the elusive Angelica while embarking on his wildest adventure to date. With shambling zombies on deck and gorgeous mermaids beckoning sailors into the icy waters below, this time Jack Sparrow has his work cut out for him. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I did not think it was possible to make a film that exceeded the second and third PIRATES films in regards to sheer boredom. I was wrong. This 4th outing was so bad, so boring, so bloated that we shut it of half way through. Yes, we actually shut it off. And we NEVER do that. Never! We loved the first film. But can I say, there should have been only one? And by the way, the music score was so ridiculously loud that we began to laugh every time it was blasted.
This Pirates movie, I hope last of the Quadilogy, is finally the last Pirate movie because Captain Beard was so lackluster in this one. And Penelope Cruz had absolutely no on screen love presence or anything connection with Johnny Depp's character or anyone. It was if I was watching a really bad made for TV blase y movie with no impact ending and boredom acting through out, even Johnny Depp acted like he did not care about this movie or script. A Horrible film this was and hard to get through it entirely. The one liners were so badly written that I am frankly surprised that Johnny Depp even spoke them.
