Fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) joins an aging U.S. marshal (Jeff Bridges) and another lawman (Matt Damon) in tracking her father's killer into hostile Indian territory in Joel and Ethan Coen's adaptation of Charles Portis' original novel. Sticking more closely to the source material than the 1969 feature adaptation starring Western icon John Wayne, the Coens' True Grit tells the story from the young girl's perspective, and re-teams the celebrated filmmaking duo with their No Country for Old Men producing partner Scott Rudin. Josh Brolin and Barry Pepper co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
This movie was AWESOME!!!! I had no idea what to expect but expect the best. The actors were great in it lots of action and lots of comedy. This is a must see of 2010. One of the best westerns i have ever seen. It was a remake so not sure if this one was better or the older one never saw the older one so have to see it.
I got an email asking for a review, with a link to click: Write A Review. That takes you to Page Not Found. This has happened several times. And I can't review this movie, because the picture froze after about 14 minutes. Yes, I cleaned the disc, the DVD player, and updated the software in the DVD player. But this has happened at least 6 times in the past 2 months. We've had enough. Buh-bye.
This movie was bad from the beginning to the end......The acting was bad, the dialog was bad......Just bad, bad, bad. Sorry we wasted our time on it. I saw the original, but it was a long time ago. As I recall, it was bad, too. So I don't know what I was expecting. Duh on me!
