Cliff (Bill Cosby) is inordinately proud of the fact that he is the only of the family who hasn't been suckered by Theo's practical jokes. Thus, with the help of his mom and siblings, Theo (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) uses his "inside information" about the engagement of Sondra (Sabrina LeBeauf) and Elvin (Geoffrey Owens) to pull an elaborate prank, wherein Cliff will be manipulated into delivering Elvin's marriage proposal!
