"Fragments" (formerly known as "Winged Creatures") was an okay movie about the different ways people cope with life after surviving a crazed gunman's murder spree. Charlie thinks he has extraordinary luck after surviving the shootout and tries to test his theory at a casino. Young Anne turns to Christanity following the loss of her father, and Carla turns towards companionship and s3x to cope, while neglecting her baby. Overall, it's a nice attempt to make a great movie, but falls short and becomes a bit too predictable, as well as lacking the emotional ups and downs to keep it truly interesting.

I enjoyed the story line and find that the script fits the pattern of how a victim may cope with a post traumatic event. It may be difficult for some to follow, but by the most part the I think the human asspect rings true to how some may respond to shock & stress. I wonder if the script was intended for that purpose. I suppose after surviving a violent crime and submurging back to what life was, well it is only fragments of you left to make sense of what you just witnessed. The story was depicted exactly how it was intended to be viewed. Not a feel good flick, but more of a psychological rollercoaster into indiduals lives as they attempt to progress.

This movie has a great cast, but the movie I would say is just OK. It has the same concept as the movie crash where the movie tries to tell several peoples stories after a tragic event occurs. To me the problem with that is that these types of movies lack a main character and typically end up having several parallel story lines, making it too much like a daytime soap opera for me. The movie was entertaining for the few hours that it lasted, but I wont watch the movie again.
