Brad Pitt stars as legendary Wild West outlaw Jesse James in Chopper director Andrew Dominik's cinematic rendering of the events that would eventually bring about the death of the man rumored be the "fastest gun in the West." An eager recruit into James' notorious gang, Robert Ford eventually grows jealous of the famed outlaw. When Robert and his brother Charlie sense an opportunity to kill James, their murderous action elevates their target to near mythical status. Very interesting view of the man Jesse James. How accurate I can't imagine, and I guess one should read a good biography. I thought both the Pitt and Affleck characters were well done, but it was a bit slow and long. Carol W.
It wasn't too bad. I agree with everyone who has said that it's not an action film, but rather a portrayal of history. The action scenes are intense, but they don't happen often. It also goes pretty slow, so be prepared for that. The characters are very well played. I got a little lost with all the different characters, so that through me off a bit, but it's worth the watch.
