Read More I'm relatively new to the Bond series, having only seen two Brosnans and Casino Royale. I've always been a Connery fan, so I decided to start in the beginning. And I wasn't disappointed. Connery is effortlessly suave as Bond. The plot is simplistic, compared to the overly complicated plots of the Brosnan movies. All the elements are smoohly introduced - SPECTRE, Bond's drink of choice and one of the coolest moments in cinema "Bond. James Bond." The fight scenes are pure 60's - heavily dubbed and stunted in movement - but fun. Joseph Wiseman's Dr. No is subtle in his megalomanical desires for revenge upon both sides of the Cold War. Great scene establishing the 007 "Licence to Kill" moniker with the traitorous Professor Dent. Some may find Bond a little cold but it was an essential scene. Overall a phenomenal introduction to the Bond legend. Looking forward to watching more Bond, especially the Connery films. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I am 17 years old an had never seen an old Bond movie before. I had seen all the pierce brosnan Bond's but not the connery's or moore's. I watched Dr. No an was amazed by this movie. This movie has had such an impact on my life. It has become to me the best series of film ever made. There is no bad Bond movie. I don't care what anyone says. This movie is on a list of top 10 bond films # 3. Behind Goldfinger an F.R.W.L.. I love this film . Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This one really points out the failings of the most current" Bond light" efforts. Does anyone believe that if Connery and company had approached this franchise with the politically correct junk they are putting out now. I understand the current Bond wannabe believes it is time for Bond to kiss another man. I am sorry that is not why people watch these movies. If you want to make a gay friendly or gay promotiing movie fine, please don't destroy this series with such stuff. Bond is a super spy, ladies man and the exotic locations and over the top gadgets are all part all of the best 007 movies. Dr No is one of them and is worth the time to watch again and again. I only wish we could be looking forward to more movies like this one in the future, sadly I think probably not. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

He was awesome you can tell he would be Bond for years. He was 31 looked older, wore a wig, but he was still handsome, sexy and got the girls. Bond girl Ursula Andress is the way women should look. She had curves. She wasn't bony with no shape like the stars of today. Great movie Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
