I saw this for the first time whne I was a child and I thought it was beautiful. Now as an adult I have seen it again. Some of you may think it is a strange fairy tale. But fairy tales are strange. It was companies like Disney that watered them down. Now don't get me wrong... I love Disney and their watered down version of fairy tales... But you also have to accept the true version of the fairy tales and admire the beauty that is in them: a heroine/hero who has all sorts of odd evbents thrown at them, manages to stand firm in her/his principles and manifests a wonderful happily ever after! Watch this movie... if nothing else the scenario is worth the rental!
