Read MoreThis movie was a mixed bag. The cinematography was great, as well as the music. I've been to India, and at times it captured the feeling of the country perfectly. Then after all this beautiful scenery, music and dancing, it turns into a late night "skinemax" film! Some of it was hot, sometimes it was almost funny and farfetched, like a porn. Read MoreThe setting was great; colorfully lavish and it really captured the time and the elegance of India in the 1500's.The storyline was exoctic and erroctic if you want to see a movie that titilates, this would be the right one. the actors were beatiful especially the lead. This is one of Mira Nair's greatest execution in film history. The story line is filled with a beautiful cast that portrays sensualality, jealousy, passion, hope, sympathy and deep love. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
