3 out of 5 people found this review helpful People heralded Crash as such a realistic portrayal of race relations in the US, and it won all kinds of awards. Spike Lee made a better film well over a decade before Crash and it still is powerful today. One of the best, most thought provoking films I have ever seen. I can watch it again and again and I still feel the conflict and heartbreak over the tragic ending.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More Either all the actors/esses were so bad that it made the movie difficult to watch, or this was one of the first films for Lee, and he gave horrible direction. The dialogue was bad and completely disfunctional. The movie was cheap, with only like 5 sets. Most characters had no raport with their scenarios, they seemed to be just standing there saying lines. I really disliked the fact that the movie portays only negativity, and the hope that negativety can continue in the future. The acting, writing, directing and everything else in this movie was fantastic. It deals with real issues that are still issues nearly twenty years after this movie was released. I highly recommend this especially if you like Spike Lee flicks...

The atmosphere was comforting and colorful and even though something was looming, I as the viewer just wanted to keep watching and be part of the characters. Well done! Read More This movie is about life in the ghetto and it was bad. It shows everyday life, complaints about each person's plight and their love to talk without action in order to change it. When action is finally taken, it is disastrous and it shows complete stupidity and a human being's demand for privilege, disrespecting another for it.
