Read MoreIf you've read Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe, you will realize that this "adaptation" really only borrows the name of the main character and creates a whole new story for her. However, this is not to say that the movie is bad; in fact, it is romantic and entertaining, and I highly enjoyed it. Robin Wright Penn is great in this role as is Morgan Freeman (and he is not one of my favorite actors. ) I find the story, as told by Morgan Freeman is historically logical and yet magical. This is a sad movie though, until the end, and no-one should try to know the ending in advance because it will ruin the movie.
