I thought this was a pretty decent movie. Lots of big name actors before they got old and fat. I almost didn't recognize Malkovich. A good murder mystery. The ending is great. Conelly was hot

Weak considerijng the cast. Connelly is smoking. Maybe worth the rent. The title has really nothing to do with the movie. Chinatown blows this away for a 40's LA movie.

Well this was a complete mess. Same musical track through the whole movie, Nolte looked like he was drunk for half of it, oh wait he was, and then stuffed into that suit. They had to hide is huge bulky frame behind Connolly in the love scene even. John Malkovich does a good job not overacting as he usually would. Chaz P is hard to watch as the simple minded friend til the end character. The whole ending is hastily put together and predictable. Just ho hum all around really, Connolly is smoking hot though and its worth renting to see those sweater cows completely uncovered

Absolutely loved this movie. Nolte and his cast of cops/gangsters were terrific in their roles. Melanie Griffiths was smooth as the loving wife and she's lays the law down on Nolte at the end of the movie. This movie wasn't just your shoot em' up bang you're dead type of movie. Atleast they tried to give it a plot and storyline.
