Picking up six years after the events of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, this competently produced but ultimately disappointing sequel attempts to tie up the uneven horror series' loose ends with a less-than-convincing resolution. This installment opens with Jamie Lloyd (J.C. Brandy), young niece of supernatural psycho-killer Michael Myers, giving birth on an altar amid a mysterious Druid ceremony. Before she is killed by her monstrous uncle, Jamie manages to leave her baby in the care of young Tommy Doyle (Paul Rudd), who has pursued a lifelong obsession with the horrific Myers family legacy in the town of Haddonfield, IL. Living with members of the Strode family, Tommy comes to suspect that one of them, little Danny Strode (Devin Gardner), is cursed with the same malevolent power that drove Michael to murder several members of his family. When Michael arrives in Haddonfield to find and destroy Jamie's baby, Tommy joins forces with Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence), Michael's ex-psychiatrist and a life-long crusader against his sinister former patient, to find the connection between Michael and the Man in Black and end the curse once and for all. Released shortly after Pleasence's death, this confusing, horribly edited blend of tired slasher clichés and X-Files-inspired subplots is a poor testament to the long career of the distinguished and compelling character actor. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

This was an OK movie but it had a very good ending. I love the Halloween series but this one sort of let me down. This is a 3 star movie out of 5 stars at max.

I really love the Halloween movies (except for number 3, Season of the Witch), and this one was pretty good. This was the only one that I had not veiwed, and I wasn't dissapointed!

Don't pay any attention to the negative remarks of this film. I think this is the best Halloween of the series! For one, it goes into detail about how Michael got his reign of terror from a celtic curse.Second, the gore (lots of it)! Last, well the gore, but the actors were great too! The other Halloweens don't go into detail about Michael's rage, and gives you the "cold shoulder",but this one is a masterpiece! I gave it 4 stars because its kinda short, but don't let that stop you from watching this awesome thrill ride! Also rent Halloween:h20 because it rocks too!Don't rent Halloween:Resurrection.

the movie starts off pretty poorly but i do think its a little better than 5, although i wasn't crazy about the whole cult thing i did find some of the back story interesting and there were some pretty scary moments in the movie, overall not one of the better halloween movies, flawed but not awful

My favorite sequel. They should of continued with this story line in part 7.

I am a Halloween movie freak and I have seen all of them dozens of times. This installment to the series was unique, to keep things civilized. In my opinion the people behind the series got so desperate to continue the series that the movies became a kind of maze of confusion. Several explainations were given for the lead characters madness but no reason ever seems believable. In all honesty if you are not looking for a good plot and just want to see Michael Myers go crazy on the small town of Haddonfield than by all means rent this movie. Despite its flaws in this movie Michael is really brutal as apposed to H20 where he was almost generous to his 6 victims. Enjoy.

So we finally get to see what the deal is with the "stranger" breaking Michael of jail. I like the Pagen storyline, but at the same time it wasn't executed very well in my opinion. Still a fun movie to watch.

WHERE DO I START?: the Meyer's house doesn't look a thing like the one in the original Halloween, the leading girl can't act to save her life, the rest of the cast does just as poor, the new plot line of a secret coven protecting Meyers and kidnapping Lomis, the girl, and the guy is so perposterous, I wanted to kick the TV screen in! THE FIRST HALLOWEEN WAS PERFECT; LEAVE IT ALONE!
