Sudden Death (1995) Reviews

One of Van Damme best movies. Of course Im a big hockey fan...I like the whole idea of terrorist taking over during a major sporting event, and the crowd not having a clue whats going on behind the scenes. Worth it if you are a fan of Van Damme.

Van Damme isn't even a poor man's schwarzenegger, he's a broke man's Lundgren. I have overlooked his presence in movies I enjoyed (Bloodsport, Universal soldier, Cyborg, Hard target,Time Cop), but this was awful!!! this was trying to be die hard in a hockey stadium, say if John McClane got a day off or an uniterrupted holiday and wasn't suffering a bad hang over and decided to take some down time and go see the puck shuffled he'd have this kinda experience. The part where he fights a penguin mascott is terriable! then it's a woman he's been beatin! oh and when he's the goalie!! I just had to write a review when this popped up as a similiar movie to 300-NO WAY!! 300 was memorable for greatness this was memorable for awefullness its on my list of worst movies ever (lost souls, fear dot com, 13th warrior, Black Dahlia) hey van damme if Chuck Norris and Brian Bosworth pass on aproject so should you. This is the second pairing of van damme w/ director Hyams after Timecop.
