Great movie - it canot be as good as the first book in the trilogy but it is spectacular what Liv Ullmann did with it.

Acting is so-so, as another reviewer wrote. The film is definitely worth watching, and I intend to buy a copy. If you loved the books, you will like the movie. It isn't -- can't be -- as detailed, but it is beautifully done and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Norwegian with English subtitles (in case you missed that in the description).
