An excellent sci-fi flick that should please anyone who enjoys thrillers and doesn't mind a dark story premise. Read More The film has a very neat premise, and even though it's a little out-dated, it's still thrilling. I loved the action sequences and the performances from Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Lewis, Tom Sizemore, Vincent D'Onofrio, Michael Wincott, William Finchtner and especially Angela Bassett, but it got a little weird. Some of it is hard to understand and at 145 minutes 'Strange Days' runs way too long. Despite flaws, I still recommend it.

Read More Having read another review, I really was not expecting very much at all. Man oh man was I totally surprised to find out that this was an exceptional sci-fi flix. The cast works so well together that you think that the things that happen, could really happen. Some to the technology that was pure sci-fi at the time, is just around the corner for being available tomorrow. The story line is that recorders can bring back event memories as if theyre just happening to you.. Lenny sells boot leg thrill tapes, from very sexual moments to the thrill of a bank robbery. But he draws the line on the extreme thrill ride of murder tapes....I think you get the idea...This film is well paced and when you think you have got it... I promise you that you don not have it. You do not have to be a sci-fi fan to fall in love with this film. And it is absolutely worth the price of a PVT for you DVD collection Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

When you think about the lightening advances of the computer industry, the squid device is really not that far away. She was excellent in How Stella Got..., but, she was AWESOME in "Strange Days" and at least deserved an Oscar nomination. Read More This is an example of a movie which should have been better but for some reason it just didn't seem to launch properly. I just couldn't attach to any of the characters or find the subject matter worrisome enough. Wasn't enough screen time for supporting actors to help build any emotions for them or the plot. Read More I watched this film for about 10 minutes, feeling more and more repelled by the subject matter, the acting, the dark and ugly images. After scanning through the rest of it I saw it was all the same, so I quit. I refuse to spend time polluting my mind with that kind of toxic trash. Read More in all honesty, this movie wasn't very good. the concept of the story is hardly unbelievable in this day and age and the acting is only so-so, feeling forced at times. they easily could have (and should have) cut about an hour off this flick and told a better story, though i still wouldn't have given it more than 3 stars. 1999 wasn't even like this anyways.
