Good Ending -It was a good "nothing on tv on Sunday" flick. Christopher W. as usually was at his best at playing the head gangster.

I found this film a step above your average gangster movie. The characters are very appealing. Especially the characters Mr.Shhh and Critical Bill ,(Hats Off to Treat Williams) even the Jack Warden character that runs the whole story of every character to the young guys kind of hoping to talk them out of being in the same situations as these lead characters. Definitely something that has become a repeat watch in my movie collection. Definitely a must buy!!!!

This is one of my all time favorites - mainly because it had the great elements of a crime drama and some things to make you smile. Yes, I am a die-hard Andy Garcia fan; but still give this movie its due. I think the casting all around was above board. Andy Garcia was perfect as the criminal schmo, trying to make a go of it, but getting snagged by love/Gabriel Anwar. Christopher Walken - perfect as the quadraplegic revenge-filled father. All the characters have heart and great lines and the ending . . . well, I guess you could call it happy. The title, a bit goofy, may have added to the non-popularity of this film. I give it 2 thumbs up.

If there is nothing else to watch, I would recommend viewing this movie. This wasnt a bad movie, I just didnt understand the ending and how it was suppose to make everything come together.

I am not sure what kind of gangsters there are in Denver, but I am almost positive they are not like the cartoon charactors in this movie, Jimmy the Saint and Mr.Shhh? Give me a break! And whats with the empty streets? I have been to Denver and they have some of the worse traffic in the nation. The story is midly amusing, but it lacks the polish to be a one of a kind gangster movie. Can I recommend it? Probably not.But it beats a re-run of the godfather on a sunday afternoon.

i havent seen it for years so just added it to my que. its one of those that lingers and each viewing brings new images and expands the characters. a virtual recombinant blending of all things dark and evil and the fading light of hope. duty, deed and honor pervail. the sucker punch walken gets is truly deserved and you wont see it coming. enjoy.
