Read MoreI hate to echo everyone else but I just had to add my 5-star review to this film. It is an epic film in the true sense of the word. The scenery is spectacular, the acting superb. Ladies, Mel is awesome and will have you drooling. Gentlemen, my fiance loved this one for the beautiful ladies and the action scenes. I can't imagine making a better film than Braveheart. Everyone should watch it, no matter what your taste in movies. I have seen it over 10 times, and every time it chokes me up. I would have seen ... Read MoreI can't imagine making a better film than Braveheart. Everyone should watch it, no matter what your taste in movies. I have seen it over 10 times, and every time it chokes me up. I would have seen it 30 times but it is a very long movie. There is only one other movie that I rank with Braveheart as best of all time, and that's Rocky (the original only). So if you haven't seen this movie, stop what your doing and go see it. Gibson took so much creative license that one is led to believe that William Wallace was a saint and the single greatest Scot to have ever lived. The viewer would get the impression that Robert Bruce was cowardly and weak. Both impressions are far from the truth.
On the other hand, if you can suspend disbelief (if you know Scot history), Braveheart is a great movie!
