This movie is about thirteen years old now, but it still can teach us some concepts about racism in America. One thing I learned by watching it was that people usually learn hatred from the lack of understanding one another. Each group or personality of a different race or culture had experience some type of rejection or negativity. They bonded with whatever group gave them solace. It made a lot of sense. If you take this concept into mind when you view the movie I think that you will get more out of it versus a race hatred. It was good to see Tyra Banks as an actress, good overall film.

It had a chance to be moving but it never got there completely. I do not think it showed true nature. Too sterotypicall. It'll keep your attention but it won't change the way you look at things. Before this one ...try American History X or A time to kill

OMG please can this movie be any more preachy? Yeah we get it, the white man is the new goto symbol of intolerance and ignorance as well as violence. However they still lose a gang fight in the movie, we're such a weak group anymore depending on the director. Amazing though I live in Philadelphia and I see all the cops getting shot by young black men. I guess that's the media slanting the facts right? Don't rent this movie, it's totally absurd.
