Read More This is a landmark film for aspiring filmmakers, and for people who want to know the realities behind making a film.. Living in Oblivion captures of every moment of the filmmaking process very beautifully. Intertwined with the personal conflicts, humor and relationships that every person on the set is going through, Living in Oblivion makes a wonderful entertainment package! Very strange, and yet extremely funny. I have often wondered what it would be like to make a movie on a small budget, and I think this film captures that experience very well. Good film for anyone in the entertainment industry. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More Honestly, I thought this movie was pretty dull. There are some funny linesâÂÂLike James LeGros' character telling Steve Buscemi's that he only took a roll in the latter's film because he heard he was tight with Quentin TarantinoâÂÂbut I think the writing is for the most part lacking in wit. It is more of an experiment than a film, which I often enjoy, and, while I did not love this film, I did not hate it either. Catherine Keener is, as always, flawless. Dermot Mulroney entertains as Wolf, and Peter Dinklage is a great smartass. I like Steve Buscemi, but I think he is better in supporting roles. He makes me too nervous when he leads. Maybe I missed the point, but it was hard to stay focused on this movie. How this ever got a member rating of 3 1/2 stars is beyond me. Good luck..... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
