This sexy farce stars Dan Aykroyd and Rosie O'Donnell as Fred Lavery and Sheila Kingston, a pair of cynical detectives investigating the disappearance of a key witness in a diamond-smuggling case. The case leads them to a Club Med-styled S&M resort where dog collars and cat o' nine tails abound; further complicating matters, the smugglers end up on the island as well. The missing witness, photographer Elliot Slater (Paul Mercurio), takes a job as a bondage boy, and he falls in love with the resort manager, Mistress Lisa (Dana Delany. Adapted from Anne Rice's novel of the same name. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi

Well done detective comedy with Desperate House Wife star Dana Delany as head of island hedisistic cult. Extreme nudity including Dana Delany, so not for children.

I have to agree with the masses that this movie isn't for everyone, but if you are open minded and looking for a cheesy laugh, I think this film is fantastic! It's a nice retreat from all the heavy, no-plot movies coming out recently. It's just stupid comedy with a sexual twist.

Even Rosie O'Donnell herself has said numerous times that to anyone who saw this she should give them their money back.

3 stars only because of Dana Delany. If you don't like Dana Delany (which would make you crazy), then don't pick up this movie. This movie is not a cult classic, but is watchable for those with cult movie tastes and who like Dana Delany and won't feel embarrassed by watching her in a movie with a very abysmal, unfunny script (Akykroyd and O'Donnell are as funny nuclear war--all the laughs are from the secondhand embarassment cheesiness of the scenes). Delany's dominatrix/love scenes are equal parts sexy due to her beauty and her acting skills and unintentionally funny given how bad the male actors are in her scenes. Delany does a good job with the truly horrible material that was given to her, guess she just had fun with it, and she surely can forget this film based on all the great work she did before and after it.

Seemed decent at first but after watching 1 hour with almost another hour left, I decided not to bother anymore. Not funny, bad acting, just plain cheese.
