I am Biased towards this movies as I own it. (One of the few I actually bought) This was not the best move ever but it was a good one for it's time and story. I love the series and can't believe Sci Fi is pulling the Plug on the SG1 series. After 10 years of a successful series they really should find a way to keep the episodes coming. I know they are doing 2 movies n 2007 and here the first one is going to end the Ori Threat but the 2nd one. Come on Ball stealing the Stargate before the program ever began? Star Trek did that several times could you be more original? How about the Wrath finding our galaxy? Now that would be an interesting. I give it 3 stars but only because the Series is so much better then the move, but The Movie is definitely worth renting. SG1 the series came out in 1997, rent the series, you will fall in love it. :) Season 7 really takes off as there is a Huge Space battle, and well let’s just say, “Go SG1” Season 10 has been kind of slow but is still good.

I like this one. And that's saying something. The action sequences are solid. Disbelief is easy to suspend as far as sci-fi goes. And, heck, it ends up as a decent series as well; cool.

this movie has elements of egypt or a similar society in a sci fi setting. if you enjoyed aliens versus predetors you may enjoy this as a watchable flick.
